I'm a natural light photographer who enjoys capturing love stories all over the world—but  Pensacola, Florida is where I call home with my husband and two young children.

Wedding Photographer serving 30A | Atlanta | Pensacola | New Orleans

What’s in my bag?

With all the different camera products and brands, there are a variety of combinations that a photographer can have in their equipment. We all have different ideas of how how to get a look we want to achieve. But what kind of equipment do I own? I get this question asked a lot, mostly from clients who are photographers themselves – whether it be for a hobby or professionally! Whether I’m traveling to Atlanta or New York to photograph a wedding or if I’m photographing a local session on 30A or Pensacola, this the equipment that I lug around anywhere I go.

But I won’t make this blog extra long like trying to find a recipe off Pinterest, I’ll just give you the details in list form and if you want to know more, leave me a comment below!

Digital Bodies

  • Canon R6
  • Canon 6D (backup)

Film Bodies

  • Canon EOS 1N
  • Pentax 645N
  • Fujifilm Klasse
  • Fujifilm Instax

Lens

  • EF 50mm 1.4 Sigma Art (workhorse)
  • EF 35mm 1.4 Sigma Art
  • EF 85mm 1.8 Canon
  • EF 24-70 2.8L Canon
  • EF 135mm 2.0L Canon
  • Canon EF 25ii Extension tube (for Macro on my 50mm)
  • Canon EF to RF Converter tube
  • Pentax 645 75mm 2.8

I kept my EF lens’ vs trading them for RF lens’ for my Canon R6 because I wanted them to be able to fit my backup camera and my canon film camera.

Others

  • Canon Speedlite 430EX III-RT (x2)
  • Eneloop rechargeable batteries (12 batteries)
  • Beeway Memory card holders
  • Magmod flash diffusers
  • Spider dual holster
  • Sekonic 358 Light meter

Film

  • Portra 400
  • Portra 800
  • Delta 3200
  • Kodak Tri-X

Bags

  • Kelly Moore Canvas Messenger
  • Kamrette Lyra Backpack
  • Think Tank Airport Advantage Carry-On

The Think Tank Airport advantage is perfect for traveling and can fit under airplane passenger seats in the case that the overhead storage is too small. I’ve had a few flight attendants tell me that I need to check in my camera roller bag and.. no no no no, that’s just not happening – ever.

The Kamrette is perfect for traveling as it has a sleeve that will slip on my think tank and it also has a sleeve for my laptop.

I love my Kelly Moore canvas messenger for all my local sessions. I shoot at the beach a ton and with this being a canvas bag, the sand dusts off easily.

Again, if you have any questions about the equipment or have a question of WHY I use one item over another, which bodies and lens’ I keep on my camera body, etc – feel free to ask any and all the questions!

Happy shooting! 📷
