Can you believe it? It is 2020. And over the years of wedding fashion, there has been a TON. Remember the poofy sleeves of the ’80s? And I think during the 2000’s they got tired of the fluff and ditched them all in general with sleeveless, tube dresses. Well, Katherine and Michael’s wedding was the first wedding of the season and I don’t believe that I will ever get over their choice of attire for their wedding.

Michael’s suit is by far one of my favorites in the years I’ve been shooting weddings. He wore a charcoal mandarin collared suit with unique touches of wood buttons and classic forest green embroidery on the back. It showcased Michael’s individuality and class at the same time.

And Katherine’s off the shoulder, A-line dress threw me off my tracks. Lately I’ve seen a trend of fitted lace dresses which are all gorgeous, but it was refreshing to see a bride choose a dress that is different than all the rest yet SO classic. I think you can agree that Katherine was a true southern Cinderella.

Katherine + Micheal, thank y’all so much for allowing me to be a part of your day and allowing us to capture the first entrance of your home as husband and wife. We also loved getting to meet your sweet family! They were such a hoot. But congratulations and I’m so excited for what’s to come!
