Sophia + Winston | 06.15.19 | Downtown Pensacola
My absolute favorite part about shooting weddings is getting to know the bride and groom. From engagement shoot, to bridal portraits to the wedding – I feel like I really got a chance to really know and love Sophia & Winston.
At our first meeting, I got the feels of shy and reserved but it wasn’t long till we got past that and we were full on GETTIN down & groovy at their reception. I can honestly say that I truly felt like a guest at their wedding!
Winston – It feels AMAZING being married to my best friend and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Sophia – I agree with Winston 100%, but I still have the feeling that I need to be planning something for the wedding! lol
Are you going on a honeymoon? If so, where?
Yes we are going on a honeymoon! We are going to Anchorage, Alaska to hike and explore the parks up in that area!
What was the first thing you noticed about your bride when you first saw her?
I don’t really know, but all I could think was “Wow she is so beautiful!”
What made you choose the venue you chose?
We chose the Palafox Wharf Waterfront Venue because of the feel and look it had. It was a historic building turned wedding venue which made for a unique atmosphere. We also liked how we could still have the ceremony near the water but without all the sand since we had older guest that needed to get around as well. Plus the perk of potentially having the Blue Wahoo home game firework show in viewing sight for free from the venue was awesome!
If you can narrow it down to one thing, what was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Sophia – It’s hard to pick since the day kind of just mushes altogether when it is all said and done! But if I had to pick, my favorite part of our wedding day was when we shoved cake into each other’s faces. Mostly because soon after I had initiated it Winston said “oh we’re doing this” and suddenly I had cake on my face as well! I just thought it was super fun and funny!
Winston – I really enjoyed getting jiggy with it and dancing the night away with everyone!
What advice could you give brides who are currently planning a wedding?
Ask ALL the questions you possible can think of to all vendors, potential and acquired, and never be afraid to ask them!! This can save you some time, stress, and potentially money. Good communication, in general, is also key to making sure things run more smoothly on your wedding day.
Thank you again Sophia & Winston, I think everyone would agree that your wedding day was a complete success and a BLAST! Have a wonderful time in Alaska, love y’all!
Xoxo
